What happens to my text?
Anonymization takes place locally on your Mac. The app prepares text before you paste it into an AI service or another application yourself. Processing by that other service is separate.
How does restoration work?
When restoration is enabled, the app keeps the mapping between details and placeholders for the most recent session in memory. It is deleted after no more than five minutes. Restoration is only possible while the matching mapping is still available.
Does the demo use the actual anonymization engine?
The preview above illustrates the workflow using two prepared examples. It does not process your documents or call an AI. Detection in the native Mac app can differ; results must be reviewed.
Is the app available for other devices?
There is a separate app for iPhone and iPad . The Chrome extension is free. A Windows version is in development. Register your interest.
Can I use the app on several Macs?
The individual license covers one person. It allows installation on devices predominantly used by that person. For multiple people, there are team and volume licenses. See the details in the EULA.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
The app requires macOS 14 or later. Apple Intelligence optionally supplements local detection when available on your device. The app can also be used without it.
