2. Overview

This website sets no cookies. Reach measurement only takes place if you explicitly consent. Fonts and images are served from our own web server, not from third parties. Beyond that, personal data is only processed where necessary to operate the website or handle your request.

3. Hosting and server log files

When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data, in particular IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable provision of the website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

4. Contact form

If you use the contact form, your details (name, email address, topic, message and the page visited) are sent encrypted to a server operated by Robert Meyer in a STRATO GmbH data center in Germany and used solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

The same applies to a request for test access to the detection API; in addition, your company or authority, optionally your phone number and interest, and your confirmations are transmitted, based on your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The test server itself stores no texts and no mappings; only metrics such as number of matches, text length and processing time are logged. There is no data processing agreement for test access, so it is not intended for real personal data.

5. Reach measurement with Rybbit (consent only)

Only if you choose “Allow statistics” in the notice on the home page is the Rybbit analytics script loaded. Rybbit runs on a server operated by Robert Meyer himself in a STRATO GmbH data center in Germany; the data is not passed on to third parties. Rybbit sets no cookies and builds no cross-site user profiles. It records in particular the pages visited, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, approximate origin (country or region) and clicks on key buttons such as store links. Your IP address is technically transmitted to this server. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer of the home page.

Your choice in the notice and your accessibility settings are saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) so they persist between visits. This is technically necessary (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

6. Links to external services

The website links to the Mac App Store, the App Store, the Microsoft Store, the Chrome Web Store, GitHub and YouTube. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you click such a link; their privacy policies then apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent with effect for the future and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

8. Apps of the product family

This policy covers the website. For the apps, the information in the respective app stores applies. Anonymization in the apps runs locally on the device, in server mode on your self-hosted server.
