General information
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to personal data when you visit this website or use the Anonymisierer app for iPhone and iPad. This website was developed with the GDPR in mind.
2. App privacy
Anonymisierer processes supported content locally on iPhone or iPad. Text, images, screenshots, photos, and files are not transferred to external third parties for anonymization.
- No cloud processing for anonymization.
- No registration and no user account.
- No tracking, no advertising, and no user profiles in the app.
- No subscription; the app is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store.
- Apple Intelligence is used only optionally when it is locally available on the device.
The app supports anonymization of sensitive content. Manual review before publication, sharing, or use in sensitive contexts remains essential.
3. PDF, images, and Share Sheet
PDF content is processed as text. The anonymized output is plain text without the original PDF formatting. For screenshots and photos, detected areas are edited locally; manual markings also remain local on the device. Content passed to the app through the iOS Share Sheet is processed only for the respective anonymization step.
4. Data collection on this website
This website uses no cookies. No user accounts are created and no marketing cookies are set. If you use the “Product updates” form, the data you enter is transmitted to Robert Meyer through an external webhook service to process your request. Other contact channels are also used only to process your request.
5. External services
Google Fonts are loaded to display the website. Umami is used for anonymized reach measurement. If you submit the update form, the entered data is sent to an external webhook endpoint. If you use links to external services such as the Apple App Store, LinkedIn, or contact forms, the privacy policies of those providers also apply.
